With the variations in today's fuel, Lubrication has become a major concern. The close tolerances of pumps and injectors require maximum lubrication for extended life. The above table show the ASTM D6079 test minimum standard of 520 microns.
Two one gallon samples of Premium Diesel were purchased, one was treated with 7.56ml of Sentry. This is a treatment ratio of 1 to 500. They were both delivered to INTERTEK Caleb Brett a world wide independent testing facility for the ASTM D6079 Lubricity test.
The untreated Diesel FAILED the test.
Sentry treated Diesel improved lubricity by 101.4%.

| Lowering of Cloud Point. |
Cloud Point is tested under ASTM D2500 and the standard is to be 10°C below the ambient operating temperature. A gallon of ULSD Diesel was treated with SENTRY Diesel Treatment at the standard ratio of 1 gallon to 1100 gallons and tested. The cloud point was effectively lowered to -13°C or 9°F. Click for actual reports. This is 23° below freezing. Unfortunately this is variable due to the wide varieties and blends of fuels. We effectively lower the cloud point in ULSD that is caused by water, but it is a little trial and error due to the Paraffin content of ULSD. It has been reported that a complete quart per tank has worked under extreme cold conditions. You will have to experiment to get your ratios right.
With LSD #2 Diesel a ratio of 1 to 500 effectively lowers the cloud point to -20° F.
